22 ON THE BOAT

Mike, Kenny, Banes, and I got up bright and early to rip some lips at Irvine Lake.

Well, Kenny and Mike's alarms didn't go off, so I headed there by myself to get everything prepared for the day.

Oh and I forgot. Banes' alarm didn't go off either, so he bailed.

Mike and Kenny make it. To our delight, Mike dropped his sunglasses in the water while getting in the boat.

I lost my elph battery charger, so Kenny and I are taking iphone pics. Kenny's iphone has that artistic touch.

The only touch I have is for settin hooks! First of 10 for me. We got 22 between the 3 of us today.

I'll kill you.

Kenny's got that skunk insurance.

Mike started sweatin it, but he got his insurance as well.

 Kenny and his line problems...

 BW.

One of the many disadvantages of not owning a bass boat.

Kenny covering up, he's got that sensitive skin.

Post-farm depression.

Lunch.

Fish bait?

Iphone's don't cut it on the action shots do they?

Mike and Kenny doubled up after lunch.

I was so jealous of their double up, that I had to catch this bad boy.

Mike fishing 15 feet above water. He's so creative, that's why he's an artist.

Mike being a little more conventional.

Until next time... Bass Wassup.

BASS PRO SHOP

Bass Pro Shop is like a zoo. Or an amusement park. This guy here was showing his wife the difference between bass and catfish. Ignorance.

Kenny pointing out potential danger.

A black bear high up in the mountain!

Oh no an elk! Ahhhhhhh!!

They're everywhere!

Monster trout! Run!

We were trying to book it from all the animals when Kenny made a pit stop to enjoy an LCD point of purchase display by Rapala.

Then we noticed all the sea creatures above and we made for the exit..

Great whites!

We made it ok. Even Mike who sprained his ankle yesterday. He was really holding us back.

Good job kid.

POND MONSTER

My dad's friend sent us this picture the other day. Looks like someone's kicking off the season with a monster. Oh, this was his insurance catch too. Not to mention he was using 8lb test. No big deal.

                                                             Oh boy!

DAY 1 OF 2011

It's fishing time again. Bright and early, we're back!

Oh wait... engine problems?

Mike needed to warm up, so he went ahead and farmed the first fish he hooked.

Banes opens it up.

Mike and his trusty net. That net is to Mike, what Superman's cape is to Superman. Look at that reach. We made him put it away after Banes landed this bass.

All netted and safe.

I had no action at this point, so I turned to some comfort snacks for motivation.

BAM! Biggest fish of the day, thanks Sour Patch Jelly Beans!

This is me trying to take a photo of Mike farming another bass. Unfortunately he landed his.

Not bad for some much needed Skunk Insurance.

Mike likes to nap in the shape of an L, he does it out of his love for me.

When he woke up I gave him his net back. He was so happy, he said it might give him good luck.

And it did!

I get all corny and serious when I throw up our gang sign. Maybe it's because all of the MS 13 in my neighorhood.

Trying to get Banes on that farmer tip.

Nope, he landed it.

Banes on fire.

FATHER SHOWS US UP

Mike and I bailed on going up to Lake Isabella this weekend, we thought the weather would be bad. Then my parents figured out how to do pic messaging...

JOSE ROJO

This morning while on the toilet I was reading Jose Rojo's interview in the new Skateboard Mag. They asked him what his biggest fish was and when he said his biggest bass was 13 pounds, I shut the magazine and threw it on the floor...
